About

Breakthroughs in biotech and AI are reshaping industries, economies, and the balance of power between companies and countries. I spend my time understanding how — and helping others see what's coming.

I'm a biotech and AI analyst with a PhD in Physical Chemistry and over a decade of experience across scientific research, the pharmaceutical industry, and media. My analytical work on AI-driven drug discovery, pharma R&D transformation, and competitive dynamics in biotech has been cited by Deloitte, Forbes, RAND Corporation, the European Parliament, and the US Department of Energy, as well as in peer-reviewed research published by Springer Nature, Elsevier, and other scientific journals.

In 2016, I co-founded BiopharmaTrend.com, a biotech media and intelligence platform covering AI in drug discovery and the digital transformation of pharma. I built the editorial operation, led the analytical research, and grew it into a recognized industry resource with a company database, weekly deep dives, and a newsletter reaching over 12,000 subscribers.

Before media and analysis, I spent eight years at Enamine, a global supplier of fine chemicals and compound libraries for the pharmaceutical industry, where I served as Director of E-commerce and Marketing. Before that, I worked as a research scientist in bioinorganic and supramolecular chemistry, thin polymer films, nanomaterials, and sensors.

Today I write Molecules & Empires, a newsletter exploring how scientific breakthroughs reshape industries, economies, and power. I also publish The Biotech Edge on LinkedIn, reaching 24,000+ biotech professionals weekly.

I'm Ukrainian, currently living in Spain.

Conferences & keynotes

I'm regularly invited to speak at industry conferences — as a science communicator, journalist, and thought leader on artificial intelligence in biotech and drug discovery.

In a keynote speech in Brussels on foundation models in biology, I shared the podium with Alexander De Croo, the then Prime Minister of Belgium. I've spoken at events organized by essenscia (the Belgian chemistry and life sciences federation), international pharma conferences, and academic institutions.
